The Federal Triangle Chapter

Goals

The Federal Triangle Chapter strives to enhance each member’s ability to progress in the career path of her/his choice.  We do this through speakers, training, and networking.  Our members come from seven different agencies within the Washington metropolitan area – and we’re growing all the time.

We also impact members’ careers through supported training.  The Federal Triangle Chapter has its own Scholarship Fund.  Members have received scholarships to attend Regional and National Training Programs, as well as local conferences and job-related training in the local area.

Whenever requested, we conduct mock interviews and review job application KSA’s for members.

Other goals include:

Ø Continuing to build the chapter through increased membership;

Ø Participating in the Regional and National Training Programs;

Ø Sharing legislative update information through the monthly newsletter and released as “hot topics;”

Ø Continuing to participate in community outreach opportunities, especially those related to women;

Ø      Issuing the chapter newsletter on a monthly basis;

Ø Continuing to participate in Regional and National FEW activities in the Washington  metropolitan area; and,

Ø Instituting a Chapter Training Program to enhance our members’ career objectives.

If these goals are similar to yours, we encourage you to attend a meeting in the near future.  Come meet us, hear our speaker, and decide whether we’re heading in your direction!  Call or e-mail Teresa Bonham, President, on (202) 622-6781 or Dawn Nester, Membership Chair, on (603) 433-0560 for more information.
